Natasha is a Model in Kansas City

Describe what it has been like for you as a model in Kansas City.

Just starting out I could tell there are tremendous amounts of talent in Kansas City, tons of beautiful and attention grabbing women. It’s nice to feel apart of that but being in Kansas it isn’t as common as say, being a model in LA or New York. It feels like a honor to be noticed from a place most would consider “average.” In a way, it feels above average, it’s far too common in another major city, to be another pretty face, making that rather average- I think.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style varies. I definitely always go classy and chic. I love a nicely fitted shirt and dress pants or shorts, also a great dress-short or long! Black is always sexy in my opinion and there is nothing wrong with a little skin. It’s always better to be overdressed than under-dressed in my opinion! I still enjoy dressing down though, sometimes, with fun season matching colors and patterns.

Where are some of your favorite places to shop in Kansas City?

I honestly am not a thrift shopper or small boutique hunter. You’ll typically find me in a traditional store like Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, or Arden B. I absolutely cannot resist Forever 21, though. I always have to make a pit stop there whenever there is one near by. Cute clothes at great prices: who can say no to that?

Where are some places in Kansas City would you recommend to visit for someone who has never been here?

Plaza, plaza, plaza! The Country Club Plaza has food, clothes, amusement, and more! Everything you need in one lovely place. Kansas City is a smaller city so a 20 minute drive will get you to where you need to be around town easy. Downtown near the power and light district, you can grab a few drinks and have a good night out. Â The Westport area is a little more artsy and laid back, but still a good night scene. For more shopping, I take the extra time to drive to Zona Rosa. It can be a bit of a drive but there’s more shopping and dining areas to make the drive worth it! It is all outdoors which makes it a fun and interesting experience.

If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?

That’s a tough question. I would probably make a masterpiece to put in time square. I mean like a giant piece of handmade art. Not like a statue, but a large scale painting or drawing that people can’t help but stare at. I want it to be a person, that stares back. Not in a creepy or tantalizing way, but in a way that makes you think about who that person is and what they are feeling. A peice of art that truley connects with you but at the same time means nothing, because it’s just a peice of random art. I also wouldnt want any one to know it was my work. It would take away from the masterpiece and would make people question the artist instead. So yea, if I could do anything, it would be that. That would be nice. Well, after all is said and done, it sounds like I want to do a giant piece of graffiti!
